Impress guests with decadent dark chocolate cake drizzled in rich chocolate - a gourmet treat made effortlessly with a mix.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box
  • 1 tablespoon grated orange peel
  • 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Chocolate Frosting
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (or 325°F for dark or nonstick pans) and follow box instructions to make, bake, and cool two 8-inch or 9-inch round cakes, adding orange peel to the batter for a citrus twist.
  • Cover the cake with frosting all around. In a 1-quart saucepan, heat whipping cream over medium heat until hot (make sure not to boil), then remove from heat. Stir in chocolate chips until they are melted and smooth. Allow it to sit for 5 minutes.
  • Gently pour the chocolate mixture onto the center of the cake, spreading it out to the edges and letting some drip down the sides. Chill for about 1 hour until the chocolate is firm. Keep covered in the fridge.
