Indulgent homemade truffles - ideal for festive gifting.
Ingredients:
  • 400g good-quality dark chocolate, chopped
  • 63.13 gm thickened cream
  • 21.00 gm orange juice
  • 1 tsp orange rind
  • 2 tsp candied orange peel
Instructions:
  • In a mixing bowl, melt 200g of chocolate and substitute vanilla with orange juice. Stir in freshly grated orange zest into the chocolate mixture.
  • Chill the truffle mixture in the freezer until solid.
  • 1. Place the remaining chocolate in a heatproof, microwave-safe bowl. Microwave it uncovered on medium (50%) for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring every minute with a metal spoon until the chocolate is melted and smooth. 2. Dip the truffles in the melted chocolate using a fork, shaking off any excess. 3. Return the coated truffles to the tray. 4. Top each truffle with a piece of candied peel. 5. Refrigerate until the chocolate is set.
