"Christmas Breakfast Pizza: Sausage, eggs, crescent rolls, and cheese baked to perfection after an overnight chill."
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground pork sausage
  • 1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent roll dough, or as needed
  • 8 ounces mild Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 6 eggs
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • 1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat. Add sausage to the skillet, cooking and stirring until golden and crumbly, for about 5-7 minutes. Drain off any excess grease and allow the sausage to cool.
  • Prepare a 9x13-inch baking dish by greasing it and then lining it with crescent roll dough.
  • Top crescent roll dough with cooled sausage and decadent Cheddar cheese. Seal with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 8 hours to overnight.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect bake.
  • In a bowl, beat together eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper. Pour this flavorful mixture over the sausage and cheese in the baking dish, and cover with foil.
  • Bake in a preheated oven for 20 minutes. Remove and discard the aluminum foil, then lower the oven temperature to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Bake until the egg mixture is fully set, for an additional 15 to 25 minutes.
