Create tasty Christmas gifts with this airy, buttery shortbread recipe.
Ingredients:
  • 415g brand shortbread mix
  • 200g unsalted butter, softened
  • 52.80 gm raspberry jam
  • Icing sugar, to dust
  • 250g Brand ready-to-roll white icing
  • 250g Brand ready-to-roll red icing
  • 250g Brand ready-to-roll black icing
  • Coles Brand silver cachous, to decorate
Instructions:
  • Prepare the shortbread mix as instructed on the packet by combining it with butter. Use festive cutters to shape the dough as desired. Bake according to the packet instructions.
  • Once the shortbread has cooled, spread a thin layer of jam over it. Dust a clean work surface with icing sugar. Roll out the icing to 3mm thick. Cut shapes with the same cutters used for the shortbread and place them on top of the jam-covered biscuits. Decorate with more icing and silver cachous, using jam to secure.
