Impress guests with adorable Christmas tree brownies made with dark chocolate and cocoa powder for a rich and festive flavor.
Ingredients:
  • 250g butter, chopped
  • 225.00 gm brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 250g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 4 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 32.50 gm cocoa powder
  • 312.50 ml plain flour
  • White candy stars, to decorate
  • Icing sugar, to decorate
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 180C (160C fan-forced). Grease a 20cm x 30cm lamington pan and line the base and sides with baking paper, ensuring the paper extends 2cm above the edge of the pan on all sides.
  • In a saucepan over low heat, combine butter, sugar, and 200g chocolate. Stir constantly for 5 minutes until completely melted and smooth. Remove from heat and transfer to a large heatproof bowl. Allow to cool for 15 minutes.
  • - Incorporate the egg, then sift cocoa and flour over it. Mix well. Transfer the mixture into a pan and bake for 30 minutes, or until it sets. Let it cool in the pan, then chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour before serving.
  • Cut 12 festive Christmas tree brownies using an 8cm cutter, and remove any excess brownie trimmings.
  • Put the rest of the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH for 1 minute or until melted. Let it stand for 2 minutes. Attach stars to brownie trees with melted chocolate, following the picture as a guide. Let it stand for 20 minutes until set. Dust the trees with icing sugar while holding them upright, covering the edges. Serve and enjoy!
