Homemade jar mix: perfect gift, refreshing twist from cookies. Include recipe card for a thoughtful touch.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2.25 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1.25 teaspoons salt
  • 0.75 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions:
  • Layer all ingredients in a quart jar starting with flour at the bottom, cinnamon in the middle, and remaining ingredients on top. Seal the jar and store in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months.
  • Create the Batter for Cinnamon Pancakes: In a medium bowl, blend milk, egg, and vegetable oil. Gently stir in 1 1/3 cups of ready Dry Pancake Mix until just moistened with some lumps remaining.
  • Preheat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium-high heat. Spoon 1/4 cup of batter onto the griddle for each pancake. Cook until golden brown on both sides. Serve hot.
