Apple crisp with cinnamon roll crust and sweet icing, a decadent holiday dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (12.4 ounce) package refrigerated cinnamon roll dough with icing
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup margarine, softened
  • 8 Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced, or more to taste
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect baking temperature.
  • Roll the cinnamon rolls to your preferred thickness, then firmly press them into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Combine oats, brown sugar, flour, 1 tablespoon cinnamon, and salt in a bowl. Cut in margarine until mixture is crumbly.
  • Arrange the apples evenly on top of the cinnamon roll crust. Combine white sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon in a bowl, then sprinkle over the apples. Finish by adding the oat mixture on top.
  • Bake in the oven until the apples are tender, approximately 40-50 minutes.
  • Warm the icing in the microwave-safe bowl for 20 to 30 seconds until it's the perfect temperature, then drizzle it over the crisp.
