Speedy apple cobbler made with crescent roll dough and cinnamon apple filling. Delicious and easy!
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 0.75 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 (15.25 ounce) cans apple pie filling with cinnamon
  • 1 cup cinnamon-flavored applesauce
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 0.5 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages refrigerated crescent roll dough, divided
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch pan.
  • Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl; set aside.
  • In a pan over medium heat, combine apple filling, applesauce, white and brown sugars, butter, vanilla, and lemon juice. Cook until the mixture thickens, approximately 5 minutes.
  • Layer half of the crescent dough into the prepared pan to create a crust. Pour the apple mixture over the crust, then top with the remaining crescent dough. Brush the dough with melted butter and generously sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the crust turns a beautiful golden brown, approximately 25 minutes. Allow it to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
