Delicious apple-filled crescent roll dessert with a custardy base and a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar, all brushed with melted butter. A crowd favorite that will have everyone asking for the recipe!
Ingredients:
  • 0.33333334326744 cup white sugar
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, room temperature
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 3 Granny Smith apples - peeled, cored and chopped
  • 2 (10 ounce) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Combine cinnamon and 1/4 cup sugar, sprinkle 1 tablespoon of the mixture over the apples, and set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, blend 1/3 cup of sugar with cream cheese until smooth. Add the egg and beat until fluffy, then mix in the vanilla. Set aside.
  • Lay out the crescent roll dough on a large cookie sheet, pressing the seams together to make a single sheet. Arrange the apples down the center. Cut the edges into 1-inch wide strips with scissors. Spread the cream cheese filling over the apples. Fold the strips over the filling in an alternating pattern to cover it completely. Pinch the ends shut.
  • After baking for 35 minutes in the preheated oven until golden brown, brush the hot top with butter and sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon sugar.
