Easy apple turnovers made with crescent dough and drizzled with caramel sauce for a quick and delicious treat!
Ingredients:
  • 6 medium apples - peeled, cored, and diced small
  • 0.25 cup dark brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 0.25 cup cold salted butter, cut into small pieces
  • 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 2 tablespoons caramel sauce, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Mix together fresh apples, rich brown sugar, a hint of water, creamy butter, all-purpose flour, sweet sugar, and warm cinnamon in a bowl until well blended.
  • Unroll crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles. Place 1 tablespoon apple mixture in the center of each triangle, then fold and seal to create a package. Transfer to the baking sheet.
  • Bake in the oven until golden brown, about 15-18 minutes. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
  • Drizzle each turnover with caramel sauce before serving.
