Indulge in our quick and cozy Cinnamon-Bun Waffles for a perfect morning treat in just 45 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 3/4 cups buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons maple-flavored syrup
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat the waffle maker. Combine flour, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon in a large bowl; and set aside.
  • Whisk egg whites and cream of tartar in a small bowl with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form. In a separate medium bowl, whisk together egg yolks, buttermilk, 1/4 cup melted butter, syrup, and vanilla.
  • Create a crater in the middle of the flour mixture. Gently incorporate the egg yolk mixture until just combined. Carefully fold in the beaten egg whites.
  • Lightly coat the waffle maker with cooking spray. Spoon the batter onto the hot waffle maker according to the manufacturer's recommended amount. Close the lid and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, or until the waffles are golden brown and no longer steaming. (For making ahead, keep the waffles warm in a 200°F oven until serving.)
  • In a separate small bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons of melted butter, milk, and powdered sugar until silky. Drizzle over the waffles and serve any extra glaze on the side.
