Irresistible granola bars with oats, raisins, applesauce, and honey - perfect for snacking on the move.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Gold Medal™ whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup wheat germ
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and generously coat a 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Combine oats, raisins, all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, brown sugar, wheat germ, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl. In a separate small bowl, whisk together egg, applesauce, honey, and vanilla until fully combined.
  • Combine the applesauce mixture with the oat mixture until fully mixed, then transfer everything to a baking dish.
  • Bake for 20 minutes for soft granola bars or 30 minutes for firmer granola bars. Allow to cool in the dish for 5 minutes. Then cut into 5 rows by 4 rows to make bars. Let the bars cool completely in the dish for about 30 minutes.
