Irresistible cinnamon-roasted nuts, ideal for festive gifting.
Ingredients:
  • 2 large egg whites, at room temperature
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1.5 cups pecan halves
  • 1.5 cups whole almonds
  • 4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 0.33333334326744 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • In a bowl, whisk egg whites and salt until frothy. Gradually add sugar until stiff peaks form. Carefully fold in pecans, almonds, and cinnamon. Spread mixture on a 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch jelly roll pan, drizzle with melted butter, and toss to coat evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven, stirring every 10 minutes, until nuts are crispy, for about 40 minutes. Serve while warm or at room temperature.
