Succulent slow cooker beef stroganoff with tender top round steak, savory mushrooms, and creamy egg noodles - a comforting and simple family favorite.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound beef top round steak, cut into 1/4-inch strips
  • 1 (8 ounce) package sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried dill
  • 0.5 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

  • 1 cup fat-free reduced-sodium beef broth
  • 1 (8 ounce) container reduced-fat sour cream
  • 2 cups hot cooked egg noodles
Instructions:
  • Combine steak, mushrooms, onion, mustard, parsley, garlic, salt, dill, and pepper in a 3-quart slow cooker, mixing everything thoroughly.
  • In a small bowl, add flour and gradually whisk in broth until smooth. Transfer the mixture to the slow cooker and stir thoroughly.
  • Cook the steak covered on High for 1 hour, then switch to Low heat and continue cooking until the steak is tender, about 7 to 8 hours.
  • Switch off the slow cooker, take off the lid, let the stroganoff rest for 10 minutes, then add the sour cream and stir well.
  • Ladle the delicious dish on top of the piping hot egg noodles.
