Family-favorite brownie recipe for a crowd-pleasing treat.
Ingredients:
  • 4 ounces Ghirardelli Semi-Sweet Chocolate Baking Bar
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.375 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup Ghirardelli Semi-Sweet Chocolate Baking Chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F, then generously butter and flour an 8-inch square baking pan.
  • Cut the semi-sweet chocolate baking bar into 1-inch chunks.
  • Melt chopped chocolate and butter in a double boiler or a heatproof bowl over simmering water, stirring occasionally until smooth. Cool to room temperature after removing from heat.
  • Combine the brown sugar and vanilla into the chocolate mixture, followed by adding the eggs and mixing thoroughly.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually incorporate into the chocolate mixture, ensuring thorough mixing. Add chocolate chips and transfer batter to the prepared pan.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes before cutting into 2-inch squares.
