Indulgent homemade mac and cheese with a trio of Cheddar, Swiss, and Velveeta cheeses for irresistible creamy goodness. Comfort food at its finest!
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package elbow macaroni
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 8 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 4 ounces shredded Swiss cheese
  • 4 ounces Velveeta® processed cheese
  • 0.5 cup panko bread crumbs
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • 1. Boil a big pot of lightly salted water. 2. Add elbow macaroni to boiling water. Stir occasionally and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes. 3. Drain the macaroni.
  • In an oven-proof fry pan, melt butter. Sprinkle in flour and stir until it starts to lightly brown. Remove from heat and gradually whisk in 1 cup of milk until smooth. Return to heat and simmer until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes. Pour in the remaining milk and stir until well combined.
  • Combine a variety of cheeses and stir until melted, then add the cooked macaroni and mix well.
  • Sprinkle panko crumbs over the macaroni and cheese, then bake in the oven for approximately 20 minutes until bubbly and the crumbs are golden brown.
