Cold Macaroni and Tuna Salad

Creamy tuna macaroni salad with eggs and peas.
Ingredients:
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2.75 cups macaroni
  • 0.5 (10 ounce) package frozen English peas
  • 2 (5 ounce) cans tuna, drained
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan, gently submerge the eggs in water and bring to a boil. Turn off the heat and allow the eggs to sit in the hot water for 15 minutes. Transfer the eggs to cold running water to cool and peel.
  • Bring a generously salted large pot of water to a boil. Add macaroni and cook until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  • Place frozen peas in a colander and refresh them with hot water; ensure to drain thoroughly.
  • Combine macaroni, peas, diced eggs, and flaked tuna in a large bowl.
  • Gradually incorporate the mayonnaise into the tuna mixture until it is comfortably moist. Season with salt and pepper and give it a final mix. Chill, covered, in the refrigerator for at least an hour or overnight.
