Indulgent Oreos meet rich brownies for a decadent treat. Easy and irresistible.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups white sugar
  • 0.5 cup high-quality unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 32 chocolate sandwich cookies (such as Oreo®), divided
  • 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping (such as Cool Whip®), thawed
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 9-inch square baking pan.
  • Combine the sugar, flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder in a mixing bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, vigorously whisk together the butter, eggs, and vanilla. Combine this velvety mixture with the flour blend, stirring until fully incorporated.
  • Spread 1/2 of the batter in the baking pan, smoothing it with a spatula. Place 16 OREO® cookies evenly in the pan (arrange them in 4 rows of 4 cookies). Cover with the remaining 1/2 of the batter.
  • Bake in the oven until edges are golden brown and the center is firm, approximately 30-35 minutes.
  • Take the pan out of the oven and place it on a wire rack. Allow the brownies to cool completely for at least 30 minutes.
  • Crush 12 OREO® cookies and fold them into the whipped topping in a bowl. Spread the mixture over the brownies. Crush the remaining 4 cookies and sprinkle them on top.
  • Chill in the refrigerator until you are prepared to slice and enjoy.
