Ultimate Sunday Morning Casserole: Sausage, eggs, gravy, cheese, and toast baked together for a comforting meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package breakfast sausage
  • 1 chopped green onion
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 6 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup water
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 (2.64 ounce) package country gravy mix
  • 6 slices bread, cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) and generously grease an 11x8 inch baking dish.
  • Sear sausage in a spacious skillet and discard excess fat.
  • Mix sausage and green onion and layer on the bottom of the baking dish. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top. Combine eggs, water, milk, and gravy mix, then pour into the dish. Place bread squares evenly over the mixture. Optionally, drizzle melted butter and sprinkle paprika on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
