Delicious cornbread complements hearty chili perfectly.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (6.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Cornbread & Muffin Mix
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (2 oz)
  • 1/4 cup crumbled cooked bacon
  • 1 egg
  • Progresso™ Smokehouse pork & beef chili with beans, as desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease an 8-inch cast-iron skillet and heat in the oven for about 10 minutes until hot. Alternatively, you can use an 8-inch square pan without preheating it in the oven.
  • Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl, excluding the chili. Transfer the mixture into a skillet.
  • Bake for around 15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Gently loosen the sides with a knife, then carefully transfer from the skillet to a cooling rack. Serve with chili.
