Indulge in crispy crab puffs: crabmeat and cream cheese in fried wonton wrappers, perfect for dipping in Asian sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 1 quart oil for deep frying
  • 1 pound cooked crabmeat
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 teaspoons garlic salt
  • 2 (16 ounce) packages small won ton wrappers
Instructions:
  • In a big, sturdy saucepan, warm up the oil to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Combine the crabmeat, cream cheese, and garlic salt in a medium bowl.
  • Take a dollop of the crabmeat mixture and encase it snugly in each wonton wrapper, then seal it shut securely.
  • Carefully fry the wontons in small batches in hot oil until golden brown, about 2 to 3 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
