Indulgent crab quiche with flaky crust, creamy filling, and a kick of hot sauce for a flavorful bite.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 (9 inch) deep dish frozen pie crust
  • 4 large eggs
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 dashes hot pepper sauce (e.g. Tabasco™), or to taste
  • 1 (8 ounce) package imitation crabmeat, flaked
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 stalk green onion, chopped
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Place the pie crust in the preheated oven and bake until it just starts to turn golden brown, approximately 10 minutes. Allow it to cool before using.
  • In a large bowl, combine eggs, cream, salt, pepper, and hot sauce until smooth. Mix in crabmeat, Monterey Jack, Parmesan, and green onion.
  • Transfer the delectable crab filling into the prepared pie crust.
  • Bake the quiche in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes until firm. Turn off the oven and let the quiche sit in the closed oven for an additional 20 to 30 minutes. Serve hot.
