Cheesy bacon-filled cob with crispy cheese topping - a hearty indulgence.
Ingredients:
  • 375.00 ml pizza cheese blend
  • 3 rashers middle bacon, trimmed, finely chopped
  • 250g cream cheese, softened
  • 81.68 gm mayonnaise
  • 300ml tub sour cream
  • 87.45 gm ranch dressing
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced, plus extra to serve
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 3.75 gm smoked paprika
  • 1 cob loaf
  • Vegetables, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 200C/180C fan-forced. Line a large baking tray with baking paper and sprinkle half of the cheese blend evenly over it. Bake for 6 to 8 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden. Let it cool on the tray until firm.
  • Fry bacon in a pan over medium-high heat until crispy and golden brown, approximately 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
  • Preheat oven to 180C/160C fan-forced. Line a large baking tray with fresh baking paper. In a big bowl, mix cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, most of the cheese blend, a majority of the bacon, dressing, onion, garlic powder, and paprika. Season with pepper.
  • Prepare the cob loaf by trimming 4cm off the top and removing the bread from the center, leaving a 1cm thick edge. Cut the bread and top into large cubes. Place the cob on a prepared tray, arrange the chopped bread around it, and spray with oil. Fill the cob with the cream cheese mixture and bake for 25 to 30 minutes until heated through.
  • Break the melted cheese into rustic chunks and spread over the cob. Sprinkle with the rest of the bacon and additional onion. Enjoy with bread cubes and fresh vegetables.
