Easy and irresistible cranberry bars made with Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ yellow cake mix. Perfect for last-minute holiday gatherings, with just 15 minutes prep time. Crowd-pleasing and portable in a 13x9 pan.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted, cooled slightly
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons orange zest
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen (thawed) cranberries
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • Sweetened whipped cream, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and generously spray the bottom of a 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray.
  • Combine Cake Base ingredients in a large bowl, mixing until thoroughly incorporated. Firmly press the mixture evenly into the pan.
  • In a separate large bowl, use an electric mixer to blend cream cheese and 3 1/2 cups of powdered sugar until smooth. Mix in 1/2 cup of melted butter and the eggs one at a time, remembering to scrape the bowl occasionally. Gently fold in cranberries before pouring the batter over the cake base in the pan.
  • Bake for 38 to 43 minutes until golden brown with a set center. Allow to cool completely for about 2 hours.
  • Before serving, dust the top with a generous sprinkle of 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar. Cut into 6 rows by 4 rows with a sharp knife, wiping the blade clean after each cut. Enjoy with a dollop of whipped cream and store covered in the refrigerator.
