Fall-inspired brownies with cranberries, orange zest, and chocolate chips for a decadent twist.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup bittersweet chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon orange blossom water
  • 2 teaspoons grated orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
  • 1.25 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch kosher salt
  • 1.5 cups chopped fresh cranberries
  • sea salt to taste (optional)
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and prepare an 8x8-inch baking pan by lining it with parchment paper or greasing it with butter or shortening.
  • In a large saucepan, combine 1/2 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips with bittersweet chips and butter. Melt mixture over low heat.
  • 1. Take the mixture off the stove. Blend in eggs until well mixed and the chocolate is silky. Add sugar, orange blossom water, orange zest, and vanilla paste. Mix in flour, baking soda, and kosher salt until just incorporated. Gently mix in cranberries and the remaining 1/4 cup of semisweet chips.
  • Evenly spread the batter in the prepared pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean. Sprinkle the tops with sea salt as soon as they come out of the oven. Allow them to cool completely in the pan before slicing into 9 squares, making sure to wipe the knife clean after each cut.
