Creamy cabbage with crispy bacon and tangy sour cream, a perfect St. Patrick's Day side dish.
Ingredients:
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 large head cabbage, cored and shredded
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
Instructions:
  • In a large deep skillet, crisply cook the bacon over medium-high heat, turning occasionally for about 10 minutes until evenly browned. Place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, combine butter, flour, and salt with the drippings; whisk until butter melts. Add cabbage and cook until tender, stirring occasionally for about 15 minutes. Crumble bacon into the skillet, then stir in sour cream and cook until heated through for 1 to 2 minutes.
