Spinach, a versatile and healthy green beloved by Popeye, elevates dishes with its nutrient-packed goodness. Perfect for stir-fries and soups.
Ingredients:
  • 3 bunches English spinach, ends trimmed, washed
  • 30g butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 250ml (1 cup) thickened cream
  • 30g (1/3 cup) finely grated parmesan
  • Pinch of ground nutmeg
Instructions:
  • Blanch the spinach in a pot of salted boiling water for 2 minutes, then drain. Wrap in a kitchen towel and squeeze out any remaining water. Finely chop the spinach.
  • In a large frying pan over medium-high heat, melt butter until foaming. Sauté garlic for 2 minutes. Pour in cream and reduce heat to medium. Simmer for 5 minutes then stir in spinach, parmesan, and nutmeg. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes until sauce thickens. Serve hot.
