Indulgent and creamy chocolate mousse, perfect for the holidays. Skip the alcohol for a decadent treat. Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings for an elegant touch.
Ingredients:
  • 7 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
  • 7 egg yolks, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 7 egg white
  • 1.25 cups heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon kirschwasser
Instructions:
  • Melt chocolate in a metal bowl over simmering water, stirring occasionally until smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  • Whisk heavy cream in a separate bowl until it forms medium stiff peaks, ensuring it stays smooth. Set aside.
  • Whisk egg whites with salt in a separate bowl until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar while continuing to whisk until reaching medium stiff peaks. Gently fold in egg yolks and kirshwasser.
  • Incorporate the melted chocolate until fully blended, then gently mix in the whipped cream until evenly combined. Transfer the mixture into dessert cups and refrigerate until set, approximately 1 hour.
