Baked chicken in creamy Asiago sauce topped with black pepper, balsamic vinegar, and extra cheese. Deliciously rich and flavorful.
Ingredients:
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 0.5 cup grated Asiago cheese
  • 0.5 cup light mayonnaise
  • 0.25 cup low-fat plain Greek yogurt
  • 0.25 cup dry white wine
  • 1.5 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon aged balsamic vinegar, or to taste
  • 2 tablespoons grated Asiago cheese, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) while you generously grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Lay chicken breasts in the baking dish. Combine Asiago cheese, mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, wine, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, and nutmeg in a bowl. Pour mixture evenly over chicken.
  • Roast chicken uncovered in a preheated oven for 40-50 minutes until no longer pink in the middle. Confirm it's cooked through by ensuring a minimum internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Add a finishing touch of black pepper, balsamic vinegar, and extra Asiago cheese before serving.
