Indulgent mushroom sauce perfect for steak, veggies, or green bean casserole.
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3.5 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced, or more to taste
  • 0.75 cup half-and-half
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt, or as needed
  • 1 pinch freshly ground black pepper
Instructions:
  • In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter until it sizzles. Toss in mushrooms, sauté until tender for 3 minutes. Stir in garlic, cook until fragrant for 30 seconds.
  • Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir until smooth. Gradually pour in half-and-half while stirring to avoid lumps. Mix in soy sauce, salt, and pepper until well combined. Taste and adjust seasoning to your preference.
