Tender pork chops baked in a creamy mushroom and garlic sauce, perfect for serving with mashed potatoes.
Ingredients:
  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 5 boneless pork chops
  • 1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
  • 2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter until it bubbles. Be careful not to burn it. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Brown pork chops on each side for about 3 minutes. Then transfer the chops to a baking dish, keeping the flavorful pan drippings in the skillet.
  • Roast the chops in the oven that has been preheated for 20 minutes.
  • Add sour cream to the skillet combining it with the pan drippings until silky. Stir in the canned soup until well combined.
  • Take out the chops from the oven and generously pour the delicious sour cream-soup blend over them. Place them back in the oven and bake until the chops are perfectly cooked through, around 25 minutes. Use an instant-read thermometer to make sure they reach 145 degrees F (63 degrees C) in the center.
  • Take out of the oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
