Festive brownies topped with whipped cream and crushed peppermint candy - perfect for holiday indulgence!
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Fudge Brownie Mix
  • Water, oil and egg called for on brownie mix box
  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • 1 cup crushed round peppermint candies (about 40 candies)
  • 24 round peppermint candies
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 13x9-inch pan with foil and spray the bottom with nonstick cooking spray. Follow the package instructions to prepare the brownie mix using oil, water, and eggs. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
  • Bake at 350°F for 28-30 minutes. Be sure not to overbake. Let it cool in the pan on a wire rack for 1 hour.
  • After the brownies have cooled, combine 1/2 cup of whipping cream and gelatin in a small saucepan. Let it sit for 5 minutes to soften. Then, heat it over low heat for 2 to 3 minutes until the gelatin dissolves, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and mix in half of the crushed candies. Let it cool for 20 to 25 minutes until lukewarm, stirring occasionally. The candies will mostly melt.
  • Whip 1 1/2 cups of whipping cream until stiff peaks form in a large bowl. Fold in the remaining half of crushed candies. Quickly stir a quarter of the whipped cream mixture into the gelatin mixture, then fold the gelatin mixture into the remaining whipped cream until blended.
  • Evenly smooth the whipped cream mixture over the chilled brownies. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
  • For serving, lift the dessert from the pan using foil and cut it into squares. Garnish each square with a whole peppermint candy on top.
