Hearty potato and sausage casserole with creamy soup - irresistible comfort food for all.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of celery soup
  • 0.5 cup chopped onion
  • 0.5 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 5 medium potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced, or more to taste
  • 8 ounces fully cooked smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 3-quart baking dish.
  • Mix together condensed soup, milk, onion, bell pepper, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl until thoroughly combined.
  • Arrange half of the potato slices in the baking dish, followed by half of the sausage and half of the soup mixture. Repeat the layers. Finish by dotting butter over the top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven covered for 1 hour 15 minutes. Uncover, sprinkle Cheddar cheese on top, and bake until bubbly and cheese has melted, about 15 more minutes.
