Impress your guests with decadent holiday Yukon Gold mashed potatoes that will leave them begging for the recipe.
Ingredients:
  • 5 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes, scrubbed
  • 1 (12 ounce) container whipped cream cheese
  • 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
  • 1.5 sticks salted butter
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.25 cup milk, or more as needed
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 1 pinch garlic salt, or more to taste
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
Instructions:
  • In a large pot, generously cover potatoes with salted water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until potatoes are tender but still holding their shape, about 15 to 20 minutes. Drain and return to the pot.
  • Combine cream cheese, sour cream, and butter, then mash with a potato masher until creamy. Stir in Parmesan cheese, 1/4 cup milk, garlic paste, garlic salt, salt, and pepper using a large wooden spoon. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Mix in chives and additional milk for desired creaminess.
