Whip up a quick and easy strawberry treat with smart kitchen hacks.
Ingredients:
  • 20g butter
  • 86.63 gm orange juice
  • 20.00 ml orange liqueur
  • 20.00 ml brandy
  • 375g strawberries, hulled, halved
  • 4 frozen crepes, thawed
  • Vanilla ice-cream, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a large frying pan over low heat, combine sugar and 1 tablespoon of cold water. Stir and cook for 2 minutes until the sugar dissolves. Increase the heat to high and add butter. Cook for 4 minutes until golden brown. Pour in orange juice, stir for 2 minutes until smooth, then add orange liquor and brandy. Mix well. Add strawberries and cook for 30 seconds until heated through. Use a slotted spoon to transfer strawberries to a bowl.
  • Coat a crepe in syrup in the pan, then transfer to a plate. Add a quarter of the strawberries on top and fold into quarters. Place on a serving plate. Repeat with remaining crepes, syrup, and strawberries.
  • Top crepes with a scoop of ice cream and finish with leftover syrup drizzle.
