Savor effortless French Crepes Suzette with a zesty orange sauce, made simple with Bisquick® mix.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 teaspoon grated orange peel
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup orange-flavored liqueur
Instructions:
  • In a small bowl, combine Bisquick mix, milk, and eggs, and mix until blended using a fork or a wire whisk. Lightly butter an 8-inch skillet and heat over medium heat until bubbly. Pour 2 tablespoons of batter into the skillet for each crepe, then immediately rotate the skillet to cover the bottom with batter. Cook until golden brown, then loosen the edges with a wide spatula, flip, and cook the other side until golden brown. Stack the crepes with waxed paper in between and keep them covered.
  • In a 10-inch skillet, bring 1/4 cup of butter, orange peel, orange juice, and sugar to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Heat liqueur in a 1-quart saucepan, being careful not to boil.
  • Fold the crepes into quarters and place them in the hot orange sauce in the skillet, flipping them once. Arrange the crepes around the edge of the skillet. Pour the warm liqueur into the center of the skillet and ignite it carefully. Once the flame dies down, place two crepes on each dessert plate and spoon the warm sauce over them.
