Delicious crescent roll casserole with pork sausage, creamy cheese, and Cheddar for a satisfying breakfast or brunch.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (8 ounce) package bulk pork sausage
  • 0.5 (8 ounce) package Neufchatel cheese, softened
  • 1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 cup sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste (optional)
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) for the perfect baking temperature.
  • Brown and crumble sausage in a skillet for 5 to 7 minutes; drain excess grease. Stir in Neufchatel cheese until combined. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Unroll crescent rolls and lay half of them in an 8x8-inch glass baking dish, pressing the seams together. Spread the sausage-Neufchatel cheese mixture over the rolls and sprinkle with Cheddar cheese. Cover with the rest of the crescent rolls.
  • Bake in the oven until beautifully golden, around 20-25 minutes. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before slicing into 8 squares.
