Spicy Cajun cornflour coated crispy fried potatoes - simple and crunchy!
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds russet potatoes, cut into fries
  • 1 cup corn flour
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 quart oil for deep frying
  • salt to taste
Instructions:
  • 1. Submerge the sliced potatoes in a generous bowl of cold water and let them soak for 10 minutes. 2. In a sealable plastic bag, mix together corn flour, corn meal, and Cajun seasoning, then shake well to combine. 3. Drain the potatoes, ensuring they remain moist. 4. Add the damp fries to the seasoned bag, seal it, and shake thoroughly to coat them evenly.
  • Preheat the oil in a deep-fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) until hot.
  • Fry the fries in hot oil for 7 to 10 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with a hint of salt.
