Elevate deviled eggs with a crispy air fryer twist on the classic creamy favorite.
Ingredients:
  • 6 hard-boiled eggs, peeled
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 pinch salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 1.5 cups panko bread crumbs
  • 1 serving nonstick cooking spray
Instructions:
  • Halve the eggs lengthwise and transfer the yolks to a small bowl. Mix in mayonnaise, mustard, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Mash with a fork until creamy. Set aside the filling.
  • Put flour in a small bowl. In another bowl, mix together the egg and hot sauce. Lastly, place panko in a third bowl.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) following the manufacturer's guidelines.
  • Rinse the egg whites and lay them on a clean work surface. Coat them in flour by tossing them in a bowl. Next, dip them in the beaten egg and then into the panko breadcrumbs.
  • Arrange the breaded egg whites in the air fryer basket, spray the tops with cooking spray, and cook for 3 minutes. Then, flip the egg whites, spray the tops with more cooking spray, and cook for an additional 4 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
  • Arrange the egg whites beautifully on a serving tray, then generously fill each center with the delicious yolk mixture.
