Kid-friendly budget chicken dish that is sure to please!
Ingredients:
  • 875.00 ml cornflakes
  • 5.00 gm paprika
  • 2.40 gm garlic salt
  • 125.00 ml plain flour
  • 195.00 gm buttermilk
  • 8 large chicken drumsticks, skin removed
  • olive oil cooking spray
  • steamed vegetables, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 200°C. Line a large baking tray with baking paper. Crush cornflakes gently into a large bowl using your hands. Add paprika, lemon pepper, and garlic salt. Mix well until combined.
  • First, prepare a shallow dish with flour and another with buttermilk. Next, coat each drumstick in flour, making sure to shake off any excess, before dipping it in the buttermilk and ensuring it's fully coated.
  • Coat moist drumsticks in cornflakes mixture, pressing firmly with fingertips to ensure crumbs adhere.
  • Lay drumsticks on baking tray. Coat drumsticks with oil spray. Roast for 40 minutes until golden and fully cooked. Enjoy with steamed vegetables.
