Crispy baked chicken tenders coated in crushed cereal for a tasty twist on a classic favorite.
Ingredients:
  • cooking spray
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 pinch dried basil
  • 1 pinch chili powder
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 3 cups crushed cornflakes
  • 6 skinless, boneless chicken tenders
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) and generously coat a baking sheet with cooking spray.
  • Combine flour, basil, chili powder, salt, and pepper in one bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg and water. Place crushed cereal in a third bowl.
  • Coat each tender in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess. Then, dip in the egg followed by the crushed cereal before placing on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes on each side until beautifully browned and cooked through.
