Ingredients:
  • 0.5 medium lemon
  • 1 (8 ounce) package pitted dates, cut in half
  • 0.75 cup very hot water
  • 3 teaspoons agave nectar
  • 2 teaspoons ghee (clarified butter)
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • In a small pot over medium-low heat, simmer dates, hot water, lemon, agave, ghee, cinnamon, and nutmeg until a boil is reached.
  • Simmer over low heat, gently smashing the dates as they soften, until the mixture thickens to your liking, approximately 10 minutes.
