Make a simple deep dish pizza dough using a mix of bread and all-purpose flour for a delicious Chicago-style crust.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast
  • 0.33333334326744 cup white sugar
  • 0.66666668653488 cup water
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup bread flour
  • 0.25 cup corn oil
  • 6 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour, or as needed
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, combine yeast and sugar with water. Allow it to sit until the yeast softens and a creamy foam forms, about 5 minutes.
  • Combine 2 cups all-purpose flour, bread flour, corn oil, and salt in a bowl. Add the yeast mixture and knead on a work surface, gradually adding 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, until fully combined. Allow the dough to double in size by letting it rise in a warm area for about 2 hours.
