Salty, tangy, and crunchy appetizers that are perfect for parties. Easily doubled recipe served with flavorful ranch dressing. Guests will be delighted!
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups vegetable oil for frying
  • 3 cups Italian-seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 4 dill pickles, quartered lengthwise
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, mix bread crumbs, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper; set aside. In a separate bowl, whisk together egg and milk. Dip dill pickle spears into the egg mixture, then coat well in the bread crumb mixture. Double dip each pickle spear in the egg and bread crumb mixtures for a second coating. Arrange the pickles in a single layer on a baking sheet and freeze until breading is set, about 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) until shimmering.
  • Fry the pickles in preheated oil until they are a light golden brown, for about 3 to 4 minutes, then drain them on a paper towel-lined plate.
