Whip up a simple, savory morning dish with crispy bacon, eggs, butter, and onions for a delicious, cheese-free breakfast.
Ingredients:
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • cooking spray
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 0.5 white onion, diced
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and lay out the bacon on a baking sheet.
  • Simply bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes until perfectly crispy.
  • Whisk eggs and water in a bowl until combined.
  • Allow the crispy bacon to rest on paper towels for approximately 5 minutes until it cools down. Then, crumble it into small pieces.
  • Coat a 10-inch non-stick skillet with cooking spray. Heat butter over medium heat until foamy, for about 2 minutes. Stir in the onion and cook until tender but not browned, for 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Turn up the heat to medium-high. Add eggs to the skillet and cook until mostly cooked through, about 2 minutes. Use a spatula to lift the omelet as it firms up in the center, tilting the skillet to let any raw eggs flow to the middle. Continue cooking until fully set, for 2 to 4 minutes. Sprinkle bacon on top, then fold the omelet in half with the spatula.
