Prepare a scrumptious pasta casserole ahead for easy next-day dinner.
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/4 lb bulk Italian pork sausage
  • 1 jar (26 to 28 oz) tomato pasta sauce (any variety)
  • 1 package (25 to 27 1/2 oz) frozen cheese-filled ravioli
  • 2 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (10 oz)
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
  • Cook the sausage in a 10-inch skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until fully cooked; then drain excess fat.
  • Spread a layer of 1/2 cup pasta sauce in a 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish. Arrange a single layer of frozen ravioli over the sauce and evenly pour 1 cup of pasta sauce on top. Sprinkle with 1 1/2 cups of sausage and 1 cup of mozzarella cheese. Repeat the layers with the remaining ravioli, pasta sauce, and sausage.
  • Wrap the dish with foil and chill in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours, but not more than 24 hours.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Bake the covered lasagna for 45 minutes. Uncover, sprinkle with the remaining 1 1/2 cups of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, then bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and the lasagna is hot in the center. Allow it to rest for 10 minutes before cutting.
