  • 1kg 3 Star Beef Mince
  • 1 large red onion, grated
  • 2 tsp dried mixed herbs
  • 23.40 gm wholegrain mustard
  • 1 Free Range Egg, lightly whisked
  • 50g breadcrumbs
  • 80ml barbecue sauce
  • 6 short-cut bacon rashers
  • 6 slices tasty cheddar
  • 6 Kaiser Rolls, split
  • 6 baby cos lettuce, torn
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 225g can sliced beetroot, drained
  • 6 canned pineapple rings
Instructions:
  • In a big bowl, mix together mince, onion, garlic, herbs, mustard, egg, breadcrumbs, and half of the barbecue sauce. Season the mixture, shape it into 12 patties, and then chill in the fridge for 10 minutes.
  • Heat a large frying pan or barbecue flat plate over medium-high heat. Cook bacon for 2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Cook patties for 4 minutes on each side until they are just cooked through. Transfer half of the patties to a plate. Then, top the remaining patties in the pan with cheddar and cook for 1 minute or until the cheddar melts.
  • Spread the remaining barbecue sauce evenly over the roll bases. Layer with lettuce, bacon, tomato, beetroot, pineapple, patties, and top with the roll tops.
