Indulge in exquisite wine-infused dried fruit for a post-dinner treat that will captivate your senses.
Ingredients:
  • 500g mixed dried fruit of you choice (we've used figs, pears, peaches, apricots, muscatel raisins, apples and prunes)
  • 110g (1/2 cup) sugar
  • 150mls sweet dessert wine
  • 185mls (3/4 cup) water
  • Thick cream or vanilla ice-cream, to serve
Instructions:
  • Prepare fruit into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a wide saucepan, dissolve sugar in wine and water over medium heat. Bring to a boil, then add figs, pears, peaches, apricots, and raisins. Cook over medium heat for 8 minutes.
  • Combine apples and prunes, simmer for 3 to 4 minutes until fruit is tender.
  • Enjoy this dish warm or at room temperature, paired with either cream or ice-cream.
