Ingredients:
  • 225.00 gm self-raising flour
  • 60.00 gm caster sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 193.13 gm milk
  • 20.00 gm butter
Instructions:
  • Combine the flour and sugar, then create a well in the center. Whisk the milk with the egg and pour into the well. Using a wooden spoon, gently incorporate the flour.
  • 1. Heat up a frying pan and gently grease it with butter. 2. Spoon tablespoons of the mixture onto the hot pan. 3. Flip the scones with a spatula once bubbles form on the surface. 4. Let them brown on the other side and cook through.
  • Serve them piping hot with a dollop of butter, perfect for pairing with soup or indulging in with jam and freshly whipped cream for a delightful afternoon treat. Keep them wrapped in a tea towel to maintain their pillowy softness.
