Decadent dulce de leche brownies - a must-try favorite!
Ingredients:
  • 200g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 250g unsalted butter, chopped
  • 385g brown sugar
  • 200g plain flour
  • 1.00 gm baking powder
  • 35g cocoa powder
  • 450g jar dulce de leche(see Notes)
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 180C, then prepare a 22cm square cake pan by greasing it and lining it with baking paper, leaving a 5cm overhang.
  • Melt chocolate and butter together in a small saucepan over low heat until smooth. Transfer to a bowl and mix in brown sugar and eggs.
  • Incorporate the flour, baking powder, and cocoa through sifting, then gently mix to blend. Pour half of the batter into the pan.
  • Spoon dollops of dulce de leche over the batter, then use a wooden skewer to create a marbled pattern. Add more dulce de leche and top with the remaining batter.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes until the edges are set while the center remains gooey with dulce de leche. Let it cool briefly. Gently release the edges with a knife, then use the baking paper to lift it out of the pan. Cut into 12 squares and enjoy hot or chilled.
